Game servers and bot hosting for Australian communities. No corporate spin - just a gamer building something real.
Everything runs on home hardware in Townsville. This isn't a data centre, and we do not guarantee uptime. We run redundant networking with a 5G cellular backup - if the main fibre line drops, the network may failover automatically, but you may still experience a brief outage or degraded performance during the switchover. Power events or maintenance can also cause downtime.
Backups run daily to a separate on-site drive. There are no off-site backups at this stage. Keep your own copies of anything important. Any outages are communicated transparently in the Discord - monitoring is handled by a third party, not on CyTide's own network, so status updates are accurate even if the node is down.
Here's what you get - and where we're still growing.
Your server physically lives in Townsville, QLD. No overseas routing, no overseas lag. Built for Australian players.
⚠ LimitationsAutomated daily backups for every server. If something breaks, we can restore from yesterday's snapshot.
⚠ LimitationsNeed somewhere to test without risking your live community? That's exactly why CyTide exists. I ran into the same problem - I wanted a cheap server to build on that wasn't mission critical. If it goes down, your players aren't affected.
⚠ LimitationsLow infrastructure costs from home-hosting are passed to you directly. No hidden fees, no surprise renewal charges.
⚠ LimitationsEvery server runs in its own isolated Pterodactyl container. Your files and data are completely separate from other customers.
⚠ LimitationsCyTide came from running game servers and hitting the same frustrations everyone does. This is hosting from someone who gets it.
⚠ LimitationsHey - I'm Jack. I started CyTide because I was sick of expensive, impersonal hosting where you're just another ticket number.
This is a startup. I'm one person running real hardware out of Townsville, learning as I go. There will be bumps. What I can promise is that I'll always be straight with you - about what's broken, what I'm working on, and what this service actually is.
If you need enterprise SLAs and redundant data centres, I'm not the right fit. But if you want something personal, affordable, and genuinely Australian - give CyTide a go.
Minecraft and FiveM hosting on Australian hardware. Up and running in minutes.
Priced at $3.50 AUD per GB of RAM per month.
For BungeeCord, Waterfall, Velocity proxy setups
Good for tiny servers and friends-only play
Good for small communities up to ~20 players
Good for active communities up to ~30-40 players
Good for light mods with ~5-10 players
Good for light to medium mods with ~10-15 players
Good for heavier mods with ~20 players
Yeah, this is overkill...
Performance is solid for small to mid-size communities on this hardware. We run a 5G cellular backup alongside the main fibre line, so a fibre outage may failover automatically rather than drop the server entirely - though you might see a brief interruption or slower speeds during the switch. Power events can still cause downtime. We don't make uptime guarantees we can't back up.
After something specific - more RAM, a modpack, a custom config? Jump in the Discord and we'll sort it out.
Join our Discord →Priced at $3 AUD per GB of RAM per month. FiveM is less RAM-intensive than Minecraft, so we charge less.
Good for dev servers and small communities up to ~10 players
Good for active communities up to ~20-40 players
Good for larger servers with ~100-120 players
FiveM requires a valid Cfx.re licence key linked to your own account. We don't provide or manage FiveM licences - you'll need one before we can deploy your server. The licence stays linked to your account, so you always own your server identity.
Custom framework, specific resource config, or something we haven't listed? Jump in the Discord and we'll work it out.

Upload your files, set your tokens, and let us handle the rest.
Upload your bot, set your token, and it runs. Most popular Discord bot frameworks are supported out of the box.
Bot tokens stored as environment variables - never sitting in your code files.
If your bot crashes, it restarts automatically. No manual intervention needed.
Push updates or pull logs anytime via SFTP. Full console output available in the panel.
Good for a single simple bot
Good for feature-heavy or multi-command bots
Good for large servers with multiple bots
Bot hosting runs on the same home hardware as our game servers. Auto-restart handles most crashes. Home events - power, internet - can cause short periods of downtime we can't always predict. For most Discord communities this is fine. If your bot is business-critical, have a chat in the Discord first.
Jump in the Discord and tell us about your bot. We'll help you pick the right plan.

CyTide runs on home hardware in Townsville - not a data centre. We do have redundant networking with a 5G cellular backup, so if the main fibre line drops the network can failover automatically. That said, the switchover isn't instant and you may still see a brief interruption or slower speeds during it. Power events and hardware maintenance can also cause downtime.
Any outages are communicated in the Discord. Monitoring is handled by a third party outside CyTide's network, so status updates are always accurate even when the node is down. A guarantee we can't always back up is worthless, so we don't make one - but we will always keep you in the loop.
Daily automated backups run to a dedicated 4 TB drive that's separate from the server storage. If something breaks, we restore from the last backup.
Every server runs in its own isolated Pterodactyl container - your files can't touch another customer's server. All traffic routes through an encrypted VPN tunnel. Whitelist controls are available if you want to lock down who can connect to your Minecraft server.
Just me - Jack. I built the infrastructure, manage it, and handle all support. CyTide is a side project built because I enjoy it and saw a gap for honest, affordable Australian hosting. I also work full time, so after-hours response times can vary.
Jump in the Discord and open a ticket. That's the fastest way to reach me. Link is in the footer.
Head to the Client Portal, create an account, and pick your service. Once your order goes through, the server deploys automatically and you'll get your Pterodactyl login via email.
Yes. For Minecraft, export your Realm or world and send it over - we'll import it before the server goes live. For FiveM, push your resources and database via SFTP after the server is provisioned. Jump in the Discord and we'll walk you through it.
You'd get as much notice as possible, a full export of your files, and a refund for any unused time. Your data gets returned to you. Non-negotiable.
Please read these terms before using CyTide Hosting services.
Australian Consumer Law: Nothing in these terms limits or excludes any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010). Where the law provides consumer guarantees that cannot be excluded, those guarantees apply.
CyTide Hosting is a sole-operator hosting business based in Townsville, Queensland, Australia, operated by Jack. CyTide Hosting runs on home infrastructure - it is not a commercial data centre.
By using our services, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use our services.
CyTide Hosting provides the following services:
All services are managed through a Pterodactyl control panel and hosted on hardware in Townsville, Queensland. Services are subject to availability and may be modified or discontinued with reasonable notice.
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and purchase services. By registering, you confirm all information you provide is accurate and that you are legally capable of entering a binding agreement.
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. We are not liable for loss arising from unauthorised access to your account. Each account is for a single individual or entity - sharing accounts is not permitted.
All prices are in Australian Dollars (AUD) and include GST (10%) unless stated otherwise. Payments are handled through our Client Portal. Card details are processed by our billing provider and are never stored on CyTide's own infrastructure.
Services are billed monthly. Failure to pay may result in service suspension and eventual termination with notice.
Goodwill Refund Policy: If you request a refund within 14 days of your first payment and the service has not been significantly used, we will provide a full refund as a goodwill gesture. This is in addition to any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law.
Refunds after 14 days are assessed on a case-by-case basis and will not be issued for periods where the service was available and functioning normally.
⚠ CyTide Hosting does not guarantee any level of uptime or service availability. Services run on home hardware and are subject to unplanned interruptions including power outages, ISP incidents, and hardware failures.
We operate redundant networking with a 5G cellular backup alongside the primary fibre connection. A brief interruption or degraded performance during a failover event is possible.
Outage notifications are communicated in the CyTide Discord. Monitoring is handled by an independent third-party service outside CyTide's network, so status updates are accurate even when the node is offline.
⚠ Automated daily backups are stored on a dedicated on-site drive only. There are no off-site or cloud backups at this stage. In the event of a catastrophic hardware failure, full data recovery may not be possible.
We strongly recommend all customers maintain their own independent copies of any important data via SFTP. CyTide Hosting accepts no liability for data loss where the customer has not maintained their own backups.
All game server traffic is routed through an encrypted VPN tunnel. This means all player connections appear to originate from a shared IP address.
⚠ IP-based banning of players is not possible. An IP ban would affect all players simultaneously. Username-based and UUID-based banning remain functional.
FiveM hosting requires a valid Cfx.re licence key linked to your own account. CyTide Hosting does not provide or manage FiveM licences. Suspension or termination of your Cfx.re licence by Cfx.re does not entitle you to a refund.
You agree not to use CyTide Hosting services for:
Violations may result in immediate termination without refund. Where illegal activity is suspected, CyTide Hosting reserves the right to cooperate with law enforcement.
You may cancel at any time through the Client Portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and you retain access until that date.
Upon cancellation, you have 7 days to download your server files via SFTP. After that period, server data will be permanently deleted. If CyTide Hosting ceases to operate, all customers will receive advance notice, a full export of their data, and a pro-rated refund for unused prepaid time.
To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, CyTide Hosting's total liability for any claim shall not exceed the total amount paid by you in the 30 days preceding the event. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, except to the extent required by Australian Consumer Law.
We may update these terms from time to time. Changes will be announced in the Discord server with at least 14 days' notice. Continued use of services after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law.
For questions about these terms, contact us via the CyTide Discord or at support@cytidehosting.net.
